Constitution:
The question of youth members being entitled to vote was raised by the Board for discussion. Currently our Constitution states: “Youth Membership: Members under the age of 18 years are permitted membership at a levy less than Individual Membership.”
Currently all members are entitled to vote. Our Youth Membership has grown considerably in recent years.
The Board has unanimously agreed to the following motion: “That the Youth Members are not entitled to vote at General Meetings.”
If agreed to by the Membership, this will be entered into our Constitution in Section 11 (11.d), voting at meetings of the Society, and will become clause 11g.
