Manawatu Youth Art Exhibition
The Feilding & District Art Society invites young artists aged 4-14 years to submit their best artwork for our upcoming Youth Art Exhibition.
Entry Information
One artwork per student.
Open to all young artists, not just those from the Manawatū region.
Entries may be submitted by the artist, parent, caregiver, teacher, mentor, and/or school.
For Schools To help us showcase as many students as possible within the available gallery space, we encourage schools to submit a selection of artworks representing a range of ages, abilities, and creative approaches. Consider selecting standout pieces from each class to reflect the diversity of your students' talents.
The Youth Art Exhibition is a wonderful opportunity for young people to share their creativity, confidence, and unique artistic voice with the wider community.

Key Dates:
Wednesday October 28th, 4pm: Final date for the submission of entry forms and delivery of artwork.
Saturday 7th of November, 4pm: Youth Art Exhibition Opening and Awards
Monday November 30th, 10am - 4pm: All works can be collected from Feilding Art Centre – or arrangements made with gallery.

The Feilding & District Art Society retains a 30% commission on all sales, so please factor this into your sale price.

If adding D-rings and hanging cord feels like one job too many, we're happy to help. We sell D-rings and cord in the shop and can fit them to your child's artwork for $10 per piece, including materials.
We're also exploring affordable framing options for exhibitors.

Full Terms and Conditions
Please keep a copy of these terms for reference.
Entry is free.
Entrants must be aged 4 to 14 years.
One artwork per artist. Submit your best work.
Artworks must be ready to hang, with D-rings and hanging cord fitted. Our team can provide guidance if needed.
Freestanding artworks must be suitable for display on a plinth and include any required stands or supports.
Any special display requirements must be listed on the entry form and will be accommodated where possible.
All artworks must have a swing tag attached to the back showing:
Artist name and age
Artwork title
Medium
Sale price (if applicable)
Artists or their representatives are responsible for delivering and collecting artworks.
The Feilding and District Art Society will take reasonable care but accepts no responsibility for loss or damage.
Artworks must be delivered to 104 Manchester Street, Feilding by the entry deadline and remain for the exhibition duration.
Artworks do not need to be for sale.
The Society may photograph and reproduce artwork images and artist information for promotional purposes.
Commission on sales is 30% for members. Sale prices must include commission. All entrants will receive student membership benefits.
Artists will be advised of sales at month-end, with payment made by the 20th of the following month.
Any tax obligations remain the responsibility of the artist or their guardian.
Unsold artworks must be collected between 10.00am and 4pm on Monday 30th of November. Alternative arrangements must be made in advance if required.
The Society may sell artworks on layby. Payment will be made once the artwork is paid for in full.
The Society reserves the right to exclude artworks that:
Cannot be accommodated due to space limitations;
Contain offensive or inappropriate content;
Do not comply with these terms.
Submission of an artwork confirms acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
