Step into a celebration of creativity at the Manawatū Art EXPO - an annual cash and carry exhibition showcasing original artwork from emerging and established artists across New Zealand… right here in the Manawatū.

This much-loved event is your opportunity to experience a diverse range of art and take home something special, whether you're a passionate collector or simply searching for your next treasure. Every purchase supports the Feilding and District Art Society, helping to nurture and grow our local arts community.

Special Highlights

Guest Artist – Hamish Macaulay
An award-winning printmaker and painter based in Kāpiti, Hamish Macaulay brings a dynamic and thoughtful body of work to this year’s EXPO. Blending traditional and contemporary techniques across painting, printmaking, and digital media, his work explores powerful connections to landscape, nature, and the New Zealand environment.

Feature Artist – Salvador Dalí
This year we bring back the remarkable collection of original Salvador Dalí etchings - an exciting opportunity to view and purchase works from one of the world’s most iconic and influential artists.

Another exciting year awaits - come along, be inspired, and find your treasure at the Manawatū Art EXPO.

Visitors - What you need to know

At Manawatū Art Expo, you will have the opportunity to see and buy affordable, original artwork, by artists from all around New Zealand. Enjoy the artwork on display and see how it's made, with demonstrations running throughout the weekend. 

Location:

Find us at Palmerston North Conference and Function Centre, 354 Main Street (click here for a map) - right next to Te Manawa Museum, and within walking distance of Zimmerman Art Gallery and Square Edge Community Arts. Why not make a day of it, and visit all four venues for a full cultural fix?

Opening Hours:

We are open from 9am until 4.30pm, July 17 - 19 

Entry Fees:

It costs $5 per adult to enter Manawatū Art Expo, with under 14s free. The entry fee is payable at the door and applies per visit.

Purchasing Artwork:

All artworks, except our Salvador Dali collection, are cash and carry, meaning you can buy and take home your favourite piece on the day. Complimentary wrapping is available on-site to help keep your purchase safe on the way home. If couriering your work out of town, we encourage you to stop in and see Pack & Send Palmerston North, just across the road.

Cash and Eft Pos are available for all sales. Credit and contactless payments are accepted with a 1.5% surcharge.

Parking:

Plenty of parking is available in the area, with a carpark to the rear of the venue. On-street parking is pay-and-display, with spaces around George Street and the Square. We encourage you to park in town and make the most of your visit by stopping at the many cafes and shops on George Street, as well as neighbouring galleries and museum.
