Nine Original Joan Miro Lithographs for Sale!
Have a look at our Miro collection
"I try to apply colours like words that shape poems, like notes that shape music." - Joan Miró
Last year, the Feilding and District Art Society brought Salvador Dalí etchings to the Manawatu Art EXPO. This year, thanks to the generous support of our benefactors, we are honoured to present original Joan Miró lithographs.
These stunning lithographs are part of a collaborative artist's book created in 1975 by Spanish poet Rafael Alberti and Catalan surrealist Joan Miró - a fusion of poetry and visual art that embodies the spirit of artistic experimentation.
Six of these extraordinary pieces will be exhibited, while the rest will be showcased digitally at the Manawatu Art EXPO, running July 11 - 13 at the Palmerston North Conference Centre. This display offers the public a rare opportunity to experience Miró’s unique artistic voice.
Who Was Miró?
A quick search might reveal works that appear quirky, cartoon-like, or even naïve. However, Miró was pushing artistic boundaries over 100 years ago. His approach was deeply experimental, expressive, and revolutionary - rooted in surrealism yet distinctly his own. Beyond painting, Miró was also a master of sculpture and ceramics, his modernist vision shaping the art world in profound ways.
Own a Piece of European Art History
The Feilding and District Art Society will be offering nine Miró lithographs for sale at the Manawatu Art EXPO, each individually priced between $2,000 and $4,000. Six will be elegantly framed and displayed, while three will be packaged and ready for purchase. The artworks will remain on exhibit throughout the EXPO, with purchasers arranging collection after the event.
Don't miss this rare opportunity to bring a renowned European modernist into your collection!
